We found a delightful sounding cookie recipe on a neat little craft and cooking site:
Cherry Cherry Cookies
You will need:
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- ¾ cup butter or margarine, softened
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- ½ tsp. baking soda
- ½ cup maraschino cherries, well drained and chopped
- ½ cup chopped pecans
- ½ cup flaked coconut
In a large mixing bowl, cream brown sugar, butter, egg, milk, and vanilla. Combine flour, salt, and baking soda. Gradually add to creamed mixture. Fold in cherries pecans and coconut. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto un-greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
